Does the notion of iconic marvel characters, like Mar-vell, White Nick Fury, or Richard Rider being essentially "written out" of the MCU continuity concern you?

brevoortformspring:

No more so than it concerned me when iconic characters like Beast, Iceman and Angel were forced out of the X-Men in favor of crappy newcomers like Storm, Colossus, Nightcrawler and Wolverine. Or when all of the good Avengers left and were replaced by the likes of Hawkeye, Quicksilver and the Scarlet Witch.

And none of the characters that you list have been “written out” of anything.

I don’t get this complaint. It’s like asking why Abraham Lincoln was written out of life. Mar-vell died in 1982, get over it. Characters die, it happens. Just because its a comic doesn’t mean that every character automatically comes back. Richard Rider had his moment and then it ended. You can collect every issue he was ever in and no one can take away those stories.
