That’s not true. Spidey was married in 1987, and One More Day happened in 2007. So that’s 20 years. But Spidey was created in 1962, so not even counting the post-OMD years, he was single for 25 years before the marriage.
Honestly, reading the JMS run up to OMD made me think that they should have just gotten a divorce. That would have been pretty interesting I think. It honestly wouldn’t date the character as much as you would think, given the rate of early marriages becoming divorces. If you think Peter is awkward now, imagine divorced and dating Peter Parker….
