I'm sure you already know this, but those guys screaming for Rich Rider to come back? As a reader who just started in the last few years, I never looked into Nova because the history seemed really complex and daunting. A new Nova felt like a much better place to start with the character. It may confirm their point of view that you're """pandering""" to new readers, but it's a book I wouldn't have looked into if you hadn't made the change.
I definitely already know that, but thanks for confirming it, at least in your case.
when i think about the people that constantly complain about dead characters, I just imagine them yelling at the tombstones of people they knew
